Gareth Ward is inspired by the ingredients he has access to locally and by his incredible team. Now that he owns his own restaurant, he has the freedom to do whatever he wants!

The cuisine we offered became more and more refined
and we had to have outfits that follow the same direction! We wanted sober and chic but also casual outfits
so that the team can feel comfortable. Lafont appeared as a
obvious in our choice.

Gareth Ward's story

Gareth started working in the restaurant business at the age of 16. It was when his uncle assured him that he would always find work in the restaurant business that he decided to enter a kitchen. His first contract in a restaurant called Seven Stars, gave him a taste for this wonderful profession!
Gareth then worked in several prestigious restaurants. At Hambleton Hall he learned the military precision that must be present in a kitchen and it completely changed his approach to the job. After having worked in a starred restaurant, he could not imagine coming down to earth.
